The Art Of Ayurveda-Inspired Baking

Whipping up tasty treats can do more than just create yummy comfort food. According to researchers, the multi-sensory aspect of baking can be therapeutic and has a calming, meditative effect on body, mind, and spirit. Baking is also said to alleviate stress, depression, and anxiety and brings loved ones together.

Here at BA Bakery, we combine the art of baking with the science of Ayurveda to create bakes that offer the best of health and taste. Traditionally, baking in Ayurveda is not a prevalent concept. However, Ayurvedic cooking principles can be applied to almost everything. So we decided to incorporate the wisdom of Ayurveda into everyday bakery items and here’s how we do it!

Sourcing Of Ingredients
All our bakes are made using freshly sourced, 100% natural ingredients, and in-house batters. By incorporating freshly ground flours, freshly sourced cow ghee, fats, nuts, and seeds, ethically sourced herbs and spices in our bakes, we are able to deliver the highest quality and exquisite taste.

Compatible Set Of Ingredients
One of the best ways to create Ayurveda-inspired bakes is to make sure to use ingredients that are 100% natural, homemade, or freshly sourced, and are compatible with each other. This ensures that our baked goods can be easily digested and do not cause any digestive problems such as bloating, nausea, indigestion, etc.

Natural Fats
All our cakes and cookies are made using pure cow's ghee. Ghee is an Ayurvedic superfood revered for its long list of benefits. By replacing the commonly used fats such as vegetable oil, margarine, etc. with cow’s ghee, butter and coconut oil for our vegan customers, we give a healthier and yummier twist to our baked goods, enhancing their flavor and nutritional value.

Multigrain Flours
All our products are enriched with freshly milled multigrain flours loaded with nutritional qualities of different whole grains. Moreover, the blend of diverse whole grains also adds richness to the taste, color and texture. Multigrain flours are rich in dietary fiber and aid digestion, improve metabolism, and boost immunity.

Dosha Balancing Cakes & Cookies
Our original in-house developed Ayurveda-inspired recipes cater to different body constitutions. These recipes can help balance the aggravated doshas, rekindle the digestive fire, boost metabolism, and keep digestive troubles at bay.

Natural Sugars
Excess use of sugar causes dosha imbalance and also overpowers the tastes of all the other natural ingredients used. We use healthier alternatives like brown sugar, coconut palm sugar, and other natural sweeteners such as homemade banana purees, jaggery, etc. in our cakes and cookies that help keep the doshas in balance, keeps a check on your calorie intake, and gives you a smooth balanced taste.

Ayurvedic Herbs and Spices
Cooking with Ayurvedic herbs and spices is an important expression of Ayurveda. All our recipes at BA Bakery use Ayurvedic herbs or spices such as turmeric, cinnamon, mint, fennel, cardamom, etc. Creating recipes with these herbs and spices allow us  to experience the diverse use of herbs and spices, and incorporate their unique flavors in our baked treats, all the while giving a boost to the immunity, supporting digestion, and balancing the doshas.

At BA Bakery, we offer people wholesome goodness and delicious taste through our original in-house developed recipes, that ensure the best taste, and health impact possible. To check out our wide range of cakes and cookies, visit
